Gamma Phi Beta Sisters:

Gamma Phi Beta’s new online reference system makes writing recommendation letters easier than ever! References have always been a valuable way for a Gamma Phi Beta to introduce a potential new member (PNM) to a chapter, but now the process is easier and the information more accessible. References will now be created, housed and managed online at

This is a revolution eight years in the making, where we have thoughtfully researched what other National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) organizations are doing, the needs of our collegiate chapters and alumnae members and the mission for continuing to promote the use of references in recruitment. There is no question, references offer an extremely valuable competitive advantage in any recruitment season!

In the past, thousands of paper forms were used, but not anymore. Today, Gamma Phi Beta references will be better tailored to supporting successful sorority recruitment, will be easier for alumnae to submit electronically and will avoid unnecessary duplication of information that potential new members are already communicating through campus Panhellenic registration. We hope you are excited to check out the new system!

What can you do next?

  • Take the time to connect with a quality young woman headed to college soon! Gather her information to prepare for writing a reference. Share with her the positive aspects of joining sorority life!

  • Visit and select the Recommend a Member link found at the bottom of every page to check out the form. The form works best with a current web browser such as Chrome, Firefox or Safari (we do not recommend use of Internet Explorer). Simply move through the form and click Submit!

  • Once your reference is submitted, you will receive confirmation that your information was received and is on its way to the chapter recruitment team for use in recruitment.

  • Check out the FAQs page of the website for more information about submitting references.

Thank you for recommending women for potential membership in our sisterhood, which is a lifelong obligation for all Gamma Phi Betas. With your support in writing references, Gamma Phi Beta chapters will continue to grow strong!
